What are some of our options for locations to take my senior photos?
Some places that we have found work well are Quarry Hill, the Plumber House, Central Park, the Art Center/Civic center park, Silver Lake, Downtown Rochester, the Historical Society and by the river, as well as a private home with woods, flower gardens, a wooden swing and gazebo, as well as indoor locations with fireplaces ect. When we meet with you we can give you a more detailed description or what each location has to offer.
What should I wear to my photo session? We recommend wearing both a traditional and a contemporary clothing choice. For the traditional choose something with solid colors with classic styling. Navy blues, browns, tans, blacks, or creams work well. Avoid clothing that is sleeveless, very bright, or with bold patterns or logos. For the contemporary choice have fun and wear something that really reflects your personality.
What else can I do to make sure my photo session goes well? First, make sure your clothing choices are comfortable, but also fit you well. You don't want them to be too loose or too tight. Try walking and sitting in front of a mirror and watch to make sure you like how the your clothing looks from different angles. Secondly, for the ladies, consider having your hair and make-up professionally done. Having your hair and make-up done before the photo shoot will add that extra touch to your photos.
